Couples Swept Away – “The More the Marry-er”

“We sent out Save the Date cards about a year in advance to all our family and friends. Then within the next 6 months we got a feel for everyone who was really interested in joining us in paradise. Then we sent out a formal wedding invitation, along with an information packet covering scheduled activities we were planning: the catamaran cruise, a tour offsite and the wedding dinner. We ended up getting commitments from 22 people who said they would love to join us.

Over the next six months, I spent a lot of time in touch with the wedding coordinator at CSA. We first booked our time of day, 4:00 p.m., on the beach. We then went about ordering flowers with the coordinator. I had very specific requests and she was wonderful in making sure I got my favorite flower, the Calla Lilly, that I now know is quite hard to get in Jamaica! They had to be shipped in from the US. My bouquet and the bridesmaid bouquets looked beautiful. We did flowers for the guys as well. We also booked spa appointments for all the girls through the wedding coordinator.

The rest we organized upon arrival! This was a little worrisome as this was my big day, but upon arrival and meeting with the coordinators everything was so easy! They have done this so many times they know exactly what to do. We booked the photographer through the packages they offered. We made arrangements for special prayers and speeches during the ceremony, we booked the three men mento band and ordered the cake! Everything was perfect! She even took my dress to get it steam cleaned to make it perfect and get rid of any travel wrinkles! We had made welcome gift bags for all our guests and asked the resort to add champagne to each one. They were very accommodating!

Due to impending weather conditions we ended up having some people cancel. We also had to have our wedding moved up one day which sent me into a nervous spin, but Couples handled it like the true professionals they are!

One day early, my husband and I got married on the perfect white sandy beach at CSA with our family and friends watching! Everything was perfect! We had a cocktail party afterwards with full bar and hors d'oeuvres and then headed off resort for a special dinner!

Despite the weather our whole group had such a great time! Since then, my husband and I have been back to CSA five times! We also bring back at least half of the original group with us and we have a fantastic time all over again"
