A new addition to the ever-growing Couples Resorts family, Delouise, known by her friends as Del, has been the manager of the resort gift shop for a year and a half. An Ocho Rios native, Delouise is responsible for choosing high-quality items to sell in the gift shop that reflect the culture and style of Jamaica. Keeping guests satisfied is what makes Delouise proud to work at Couples San Souci, such as recently, when she put together a special event for a couple’s 25th wedding anniversary. When she’s not keeping guests happy, Delouise enjoys watching romantic comedies, reading, eating shrimp and lobster and spending time with her daughter Danielle. Delouise attributes her kind demeanor to her mother, who she loves dearly for raising her to be the person she is today.

Jean Magnus
Couples Ocho Rios

Jean, also known as Genie, has been a room attendant for a year and five months. In this capacity, she maintains to the quality of guests’ rooms by cleaning and replacing used items. As guests of the hotel know, when you first walk into the room, there are cleverly folded towels on the bed in the shapes of swans. One of Jean’s favorite Couples memories occurred when the husband staying in one of her rooms insisted she teach him how to make one. After many failed attempts, the husband finally made a decent swan and Jean and his wife applauded him. When she’s not helping guests, Jean enjoys Jackie Chan movies, attending church, eating her favorite dish of rice and peas with chicken, going to the beach and taking care of her family.

Carl Spence
Couples Swept Away

Carl, a Kingston native fondly known as Robin, has been the team leader of the resort’s sports complex for five years. He coordinates all spa and fitness activities, such as tennis, squash and volleyball. When he’s not keeping the complex in tip-top shape, Carl enjoys watching television, especially the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, CNN and ESPN. He also likes traveling to exotic locations, watching science fiction movies and listening to Bob Marley albums. The one person Carl would like to have dinner with would be Albert Einstein who he respects immensely for contributions that have opened doors for science. The friendly atmosphere of the resort and the amenities of the sports complex are Carl’s favorite parts about working at Couples Swept Away.

Tadean Miller
Couples Negril

Tadean, affectionately known as “T” hails from Green Island and has been working as a Guest Services Agent at Couples Negril for almost four years. Like all the Guest Services Agents at Couples Negril, Tadean performs a multitude of tasks daily, from operating the switchboard, manning the front desk to confirming guest reservations and flight information. Tadean’s favorite part of her job is seeing the satisfaction on guest’s faces when they check out after a wonderful vacation at Couples Negril. When she is not ensuring the highest quality of service at the resort, Tadean enjoys eating Ackee and Satlfish and listening to her favorite reggae artists, Beenie Man. Bob Marley is her idol and the person she would most like to have dinner with if given the chance. She is awed by the legacy he has left for reggae music not just in Jamaica, but around the world.
