| Staff Spotlight Without our hard-working, dedicated staff Couples would be just another hotel. However, our employees make the difference by asserting every effort to accommodate guests and give them an unforgettable experience. If you have a fond memory that involves our staff members, feel free to let us know by posting a message on the Couples message board so our own staff as well as other guests, can recognize their commitment. In this newsletter’s Staff Spotlight we applaud Kayeena, Georgeanna, Donaval, and Evol. |

Kayeena Osbourne Couples Ocho Rios Kayeena, or Kay for short, has been welcoming guests to Couples Resorts for the past three years as a receptionist. Her responsibilities are both checking guests in and out of the resort and her favorite part of the job is that the position enables her to meet interesting guests from all over the world. One of her most memorable experiences at Couples was entertaining guests during the stressful time of Hurricane Ivan last year. Kayeena’s hometown is Ocho Rios, and she currently resides in St. Ann where she spends her spare time listening to music, watching movies and walking her dog. Some of her favorites include curry goat, the band Fab 5 and the film Chronicles of Narnia. Kay would stay in touch with the world from her desert island by bringing her cell phone, and would keep busy with her Ipod and her dog Dominique. |

Georgeanna Ann-Marie Kirkland Couples Swept Away Known as “Sunshine,” this 25-year-old Chef has been a part of the Couples Resorts team for the past two and a half years. Her position, Cook I, requires her to provide excellent customer service for guests as well as prepare meals at Sea Grapes, the non-alcoholic bar at Couples Swept Away. She loves all the people she gets to meet on a daily basis and one of her most memorable experiences was when approximately 60 of the resort guests came to Sea Grapes on her birthday and sang for her. Georgeanna, originally from Kingston, now resides in Westmoreland. When not at work, she is taking care of her two beautiful daughters, cooking and reading (and trying to remember all those guests’ names.) Her favorite dish is Ackee & Saltfish with white rice and Negril is her favorite place in Jamaica. When asked what three items she would bring if stranded on a deserted island, her choices were water, a flashlight and sheets. |

Donaval Charles Gooden Couples Negril It has been four years since Donaval joined the staff at Couples resort as a room technician. His main job responsibility is to ensure that all accommodations are up to standard for guest arrivals - checking air conditioning units, TV’s, radios, etc. Known as “Tallest,” this 32-year-old technician from Landilo describes his favorite part of working at Couples as the classiness of the resort and the people with whom he works. He enjoys assisting guests in difficult situations and solving problems – like the time he helped a couple wrap fragile souvenirs to be shipped home safely. Donaval now resides in Sav-anna-la-mar where he can be found going to the beach with family, reading or listening to gospel music when not at work. His favorite foods are rice and peas, vegetables, ackee & codfish. Tallest enjoys family movies and comedies and he would like to visit England someday. If he were stranded on a deserted island and only had three items to bring, he would not be alone, as he would bring his wife, plus food and water. |

Evol Davis Couples Sans Souci For the past two years, guests have been greeted at Couples Resorts by this 26-year-old bellman that goes by the nickname of Dr. Luv. His job is to assist visitors with their check in and departure and provide shuttle transfers to rooms and restaurants. He enjoys the interaction with the resort’s diverse clientele as it allows him to learn a bit about their cultures. Dr. Luv strives to help give each and every guest a memorable and wonderful vacation. His favorite place in Jamaica is Ocho Rios and he loves eating steamed fish and dumplings, listening to the bands Fab 5 and Buju Banton or watching the movie Bad Boys II. When he is not at work he is most likely partying with friends or going to the movies. If stranded on a deserted island, Evol wants to bring food, water and a bible. |
