What moment, sight or sound gets you…
Reading through the comments posted on Couples message board, our sense of pride for what we do is kindled. At Couples, we always strive to please our guests and to make Jamaica a second home for them. Besides the smiles and the thank you’s we get on the island, we are glad to know that the feelings of happiness and relaxation linger long enough for our guests to sign online and share their experiences with others. Below are a few moments, sights and sounds that past guests have shared on our message board. Thank you for making Couples a part of your life.

I sit in the Couples booth at Mobay and watch the faces of people around me. I go with others to take my place on the Jitney. I'm starting to grin a silly grin. The bus is loaded and our driver has introduced himself. The second the engine comes to life Reggae flows from the speakers, my grin becomes a smile. I start to wonder what has changed on the road to Negril. I watch Jamaica pass by my window and I'm amazed that I forgot just how beautiful she is. The children of Lucea walk together in the cleanest uniforms with books in tow. We pass a school where the class is under a tree reading their books eating Mangos. I see a white girl with dreadlocks walking along like she has belong there her whole life, I envy her. I'd like to give that a try. I see a car in the river...“What are they doing?” I look a little closer, the boys are washing it. My checks are starting to hurt from smiling so much. The sights of Jamaica change a little year by year as does my heart. I feel more and need more of her with each visit home.

We are sitting at the Beach Grill and begin to speak with a young man. His name escapes me as it is very early. We talk of our daughter, I am missing my girl, he must see this as we talk of her and her singing...he begins to sing a beautiful love song to us, smiling all the while, when he finishes I have tears welling up in my eyes and he says to us, "I know your daughter is beautiful!" He saunters away still singing...all the staff seem to be singing most of the time and I both miss my daughter and am longing for the day that she is old enough to have her own wonderful experience in this Paradise!!!

We duck under the cover of the beach bar to escape from the sudden shower. The bartenders are all singing and laughing with each other and us as they get busy getting drinks for all. What they are singing we haven't a clue, and we ask. He says he is teasing the other guy and they go back and forth, still laughing.

On an evening, we stroll the length of the beach. When we get to the South end, we chat with a security guard. His accent is thick and hard to understand. We finally realize he wants to show us something, and draws our attention to a small sea turtle he has discovered.

The smiling faces of the staff when we arrive at COR.
The first look off the balcony of our room of the beautiful Caribbean Sea.
The scent of Blue Mountain coffee as I walk toward the patio the first morning after arriving.

Music from the house band blowing in the air while relaxing in a hammock on the beach while watching the waves.
Watching the birds fly into a tree to roost for the night beyond the Bayside.
