A-C-E Your Life
Ever have a month (or more) when it seems you are up against more challenges than you think you can handle? Many, if not all, of us reading this have overcome times like this in the past. Take a minute and remember some of those times. For me, these were and still are exam weeks in school, that pre-vacation preparation time, times of crisis and transition - I could go on as I’m sure you can. So how did we succeed, sail through or pass with flying colors at these times? How did we ace our lives at these times?
Seems the strategies we used involved prioritizing, letting go, delegating and even "a few more sleepless nights" as a mentor once suggested! In the end, we stepped back and just used our core skills to function.
This month's message comes at a time when I needed to get perspective and do my best to ace my life. I wrote the following portion of a message of strategic inspiration two years ago. In an effort to do my best to fulfill my intention to share a message a month, I went back to basics and found just what I needed! So here are my tips to A-C-E YOUR LIFE!
Be Accessible Be yourself and others will feel comfortable befriending you, working with you, learning from your or hiring you. Allow yourself to connect with others so they can access what makes you special.
Be Credible Be honest with yourself and others. Avoid trying to be someone you are not. If you don't know something, go out and learn about it. Embrace and use your knowledge & wisdom.
Be Creative Be innovative, try new endeavors, unbury a hidden talent, rekindle a forgotten hobby. At least half our brain is designed for creating, emoting, and feeling if you don't use it, you'll lose it.
Be Caring First, take care of yourself. Once you do what you need to do to be well, you will notice what others need. In turn, show your care by giving others what they need.
Be Committed Give your all to each day. Work hard. Play hard. Rest well. Strive for your goals and dreams. If your life does not meet your standards, commit to making your vision your reality.
Be Enthusiastic Live each day fully. Find your passion and act on it. Enthusiasm can be contagious, spread it to others or catch it from others. Be your own cheerleader.
Until next month...
