What’s Happening At Couples Resorts
The kids are back in school, the weather is beginning to cool off and your thoughts are turning to your next vacation. You made it through a summer with the kids and it’s time to rekindle that romance, time to renew those vows…time for a first trip or a return trip to Couples Resorts. Here is what’s going on at the resorts this Fall.

Couples Resorts Now Offers FOUR Great Resort Options
On September 7, 2005, Couples Resorts officially announced the newest addition to the Couples brand – Couples Sans Souci. Formerly Sans Souci Resort & Spa, the resort is nicknamed the “Jewel of Jamaica,” and located on the picturesque north coast of Jamaica, four miles east of Ocho Rios. Originally opened in the early 1950s and then re-built in the 1970s, Sans Souci, French for "without a care,” is a AAA Four-Diamond resort with 148 ocean-facing luxury suites nestled into a 35-acre hillside garden. Named among the “Caribbean’s Top Ten” resorts by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine, Couples Sans Souci has long been known for its physical beauty and romantic setting, evidenced by its frequent honeymooners. Couples Sans Souci will follow the blueprint of the other Couples Resorts, offering a refined version of the all-inclusive concept.

Couples Swept Away Growth Continues
Phase II of construction is underway at Couples Swept Away with the addition of four more buildings that will create an additional 48 Verandah Suites by the end of this year and a new “Great House,” planned for completion by Valentine’s Day 2006.

Once completed the new “Great House” building will be a three-story structure with fantastic views of the sea and will include a new location for Feathers, a nightclub/jazz bar/disco, 4,500 square foot conference/wedding reception center, a game room and an Internet Café. An infinity pool with two large Jacuzzis and a swim-up bar will also be added to the area.

Name the Restaurant Contest
Also included in the “Great House” project is a 240-seat open-air dining room. The restaurant will feature a large open ‘show’ kitchen with a wood stone pizza oven and rotisserie as its central elements. The menu will feature island style tapas, a shared plate style of dining, perfect for couples to share. In September, individuals had the opportunity to log on to couples.com and submit a name for the restaurant. Three names from those submitted will be posted at www.couples.com/contest and from October 3-7, 2005 the names will be voted on by you, our past and future guests, with the winning restaurant name announced on October 10, 2005. Look for the new restaurant name in the Winter 2006 newsletter along with the prize winner, who will be flown with a guest for a complimentary four-night, five-day stay at Couples Swept Away for the restaurant grand opening celebration.

Couples Swept Away Tennis Fantasy Camp
Luke Jensen, Brenda Schultz-McCarthy and Lori McNeil are ready for the 2nd Annual Tennis Fantasy Camp. Are you? The three day tennis event will take place October 6-9, 2005 featuring these professional athletes providing world-class instruction and clinics in a fun, resort atmosphere. The Fantasy Camp includes full days of tennis clinics, a round robin tournament and pro exhibitions, plus a kick-off welcome reception, beach party and private dinner and awards reception. This year the camp expects about 20 participants and a surprise celebrity participant.

The event includes a cocktail party followed by a grand dinner. At Couples Negril, the main pool area will provide a starlit backdrop for dinner spread around the pool deck and the Cassava Terrace will be transformed into a huge buffet with a stage set up in front of the grand stair case.
