Greetings to
loving couples everywhere.
Thanks to our loyal
guests, 2004 ended as one of the best in this
company’s storied 26 year history. Our 27th year
started on January 20 with a fun-filled week of
events at Couples Ocho Rios. After nearly US$ 2
million of updating, including the total
reconstruction of 12 Deluxe Ocean rooms (The
East Wing), Jamaica’s original all-inclusive
resort for couples only is set to shine even
brighter this year.
At Couples Swept Away, the introduction of an
additional 96 Verandah Suites has been a
resounding success and our new Thai restaurant,
Lemongrass, continues to receive rave reviews.
It came as no surprise to us that Couples Swept
Away was recognized in Condé Nast Traveler’s
2004 Annual Gold List rated as the top
all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean. Stay
tuned as Phase II will begin in earnest before
the end of March 2005. Plans call for 72 more
suites, another swimming pool - including a
swim-up bar – more dining options, a nightclub
and enhanced Spa.
Couples Negril, fresh off Travel+Leisure’s
Reader Choice Awards as the top rated Jamaican
resort and highest rated all-inclusive resort in
the Caribbean is set to garner more recognition
in 2005. Loyal guests have created an inspiring
community of repeaters who are already planning
this year’s reunions.
Be sure to keep up with all the plans in the
Couples Lounge Message Board. Over 12,000
discussions were posted in 2004 and monitoring
the board has been an enlightening and often
entertaining experience.
Our new online air/hotel package booking engine
and Online Wedding Calendar are now operational
and your support continues to grow daily. Thank
you all for your patience.
Next project? We are working to automate a new
Repeater and Loyalty program that empowers you
to choose from a selection of benefits,
including upgrades, free nights, resort gift
shop and spa credits and more.
