Group Celebrations

At Couples Resorts, we recognize that many groups are formed spontaneously and today’s bride/groom (and group leaders) have concerns with signing a group contract and depositing money for guests that may or may not commit to the destination event. None-the-less, these couples want to send invites to friends and family. Their motive, “the more the merrier” in celebrating their special event. The resorts want to offer these groups premium services that these special guests deserve. Special requests will be fully reserved in advance and executed to perfection, just as a contracted group.

Couples Resorts is pleased to announce "CELEBRATIONS" featuring:

• No group contract
• No group deposit
• No group cancellation
• Individual reservations and payments
• Any tour operator or direct TA booking is applicable
• Special complimentary marketing tools: honeymoon registry, wedding website, wedding message board, and more

Here is how it works:

After making the bride/groom (group leaders) reservation, contact a Couples preferred travel agency or our Group Specialist Team, for a CELEBRATIONS number -- groups@couples.com

Our Groups Specialist Team will assign a unique CELEBRATIONS number and notification of the online self registration site.

She will also send an email that has tips to further plan a perfect wedding, all FREE, including:

• Directions to register on message board and start chatting with other Couples Resorts brides and grooms and guests
• Directions for the honeymoon / wedding registry
• Directions for wedding website creation
• Directions for the wedding on the wedding calendar

Every time a reservation is logged with the unique CELEBRATIONS code at the couples celebrations page, our Groups Specialist Team will track and log the information. At 45 days prior to event date, our Groups Specialist Team will determine if the group size amounts to “10” reservations. If so, our Groups Specialist Team will process and communicate the “Couples Resorts Gift to You”.

The Couples Resorts Gift for the Bride & Groom or group leader is combinable with all other current promotions including our basic wedding package amenities (His and Hers half hour massages, 2 “just married” t-shirts, Bottle of sparkling wine). PLUS:

• $500 in resort credits (may be used for any incidentals, except non-inclusive tours)
• 3 night return stay for travel up to eighteen months (some holiday black outs apply)

*There are no complimentary rooms for CELEBRATIONS groups. To receive the one complimentary room for 10 paid rooms, a group contract needs to be signed and subsequent deposits and rules would apply.

Group Blackout Dates

No blackout dates apply for groups. However, no complimentary rooms are offered, regardless of number of rooms, for 12/26 - 1/1, 2/12 - 2/26. And if group is booking during these dates they must apply to 20+ group contract policies.

Group Payment Policy

A $500 non-refundable deposit and signed contract are required to confirm space. *If group is booking during Feb 12-26 and Dec. 26- Jan. 1, then 21+ policies apply.

10-20 Room Groups

• 121 days or more prior to arrival- $500 deposit
• 120 days or more prior to arrival- 10% of the total group amount
• 45 days prior to arrival- Remaining balance and rooming list due

21+ Group Rooms

• 121 days or more prior to arrival- $500 deposit at CTI and CSS only
• 120 days or more prior to arrival- 10% of the total group amount at CNG and CSA
• 90 days prior to arrival- 50% of the total group amount
• 45 days prior to arrival- Remaining balance and rooming list due

Group Policy

• Group rate quoted will be the most current published rate.
• If deposit and signed contract are not received within 7 days of request for group space, contract will be rendered nullified.
• Single occupancy rooms are limited to 5% of the group total.
• A minimum of 3 nights stay is required to receive complimentary rooms.
• A group contract must be signed and submitted by the Couples Resorts Groups Department to receive complimentary rooms.
• There is an administration processing fee of USD $75 for each complimentary room.
• Maximum 50 rooms per group at CNG, CSA, and CTI. Maximum of 40 rooms per group at CSS. Any amount exceeding the maximum is subject to approval by Couples Resorts.
• If the group falls below 10 rooms outside of 45 days of arrival and full payment, it will result in the loss of any complimentary room(s).
• Group Rates are quoted in US Dollars
• All change requests must be submitted in writing, by the Group coordinator.
• Group coordinator must consent to requested changes by submission of signed revised contract.
• Space and rates are not guaranteed until signed contract and initial deposit are received in Groups department.

Group Cancellation Policy

*Cancellations made 60 days prior to arrival will result in a forfeiture of the 10% deposit.

*Cancellations between 59-46 days prior to arrival will incur a 50% penalty.

*Cancellations within 45 days of arrival will result in 100% cancellation penalty.

*If group is booking during Feb 12 - 22 & Dec 26 - Jan 1, then 21+ policies apply.

10 - 20 Group Rooms

• 121 days or more prior to arrival- $500 penalty
• 120 to 46 days prior to arrival - 10% penalty of the total group amount
• Within 45 days or less prior to arrival- 100% penalty of the total group amount

21+ Group Rooms

• 121 days or more prior to arrival- $500 penalty at CTI and CSS only
• 120 to 91 days prior to arrival- 10% of the total group amount at CNG and CSA
• 90 to 46 days prior to arrival- 50% penalty of the total group amount
• Within 45 days or less prior to arrival- 100% penalty of the total group amount
